Where we ship
We pack on two benches and the site shows one at a time (pick yours from the top bar).
- US menu: ships from California to addresses in all 50 US states and Washington, DC.
- UK menu: ships from the UK to addresses in the United Kingdom.
We do not ship between the two regions or anywhere else yet.
Dispatch times
Bags are made in small batches. Most orders leave us within 1 to 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays). Orders placed after a batch has gone out ship with the next one. If an item will take longer, we email you before it ships.
Shipping rates and carriers
US orders: shipping is priced live at checkout by the carrier for your address and basket, and the exact cost is shown before you pay. We usually ship with UPS Ground or a USPS ground service, whichever is the better option for your address. Our ground options do not include USPS Media Mail.
UK orders: Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is £4.99 for a medium parcel (baskets up to 5 kg) and £9.99 for a large or heavy parcel, and the exact cost is shown before you pay.
Delivery times
US parcels usually arrive within 1 to 5 business days of dispatch, depending on distance from California. UK parcels usually arrive within 1 to 3 working days of dispatch. Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not guaranteed.
Tracking
As soon as your order ships we email you a tracking link. You can also check progress any time on our Track your order page with your order number and email.
Getting your address right
Please check your shipping address at checkout. If you spot a mistake, contact us straight away and we will update it if the order has not shipped yet. We cannot redirect a parcel once it is with the carrier, and we are not responsible for parcels sent to an address entered incorrectly.
Lost, late or damaged parcels
If tracking has not moved for 5 business days, or a parcel shows as delivered but you cannot find it, contact us and we will open a trace with the carrier. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, we will send a replacement or give you a full refund.
If your order arrives damaged or contaminated, our arrival guarantee covers it.
Weather and perishable goods
Grain spawn and substrate are perishable. Please open your parcel when it arrives and store bags somewhere cool and dark. In very hot or very cold weather we may hold an order for a day or two so it is not left in a truck in extreme temperatures. We will email you if we do.
